Paris, France

Have you started looking into booking your summer holiday yet? The winter blues and working too hard can certainly make you reach for that travel brochure, but how do you get the best deal on your holiday? How do you find those elusive offers that could save you hundreds or even thousands on your next trip? Yes, it’s true there are many last minute deals that will save you big money, but do you really want to take the risks involved with a last minute deal? You might have to compromise on location, accommodation or activities and you could end up regretting it.

We all know about the many holiday and flight price comparison websites available, but there are better services out there that could save you even more money. For example, Skyscanner’s view month feature will show you the best deals on flights to your chosen location over 30 days giving you time to identify the cheapest times to fly and make your move.

2. Avoid The Big Parking Fees

There are many websites where homeowners advertise their driveways or garages for a fraction of the price of airport parking and you could save a considerable amount of money.

3. Choose A Really Busy Flight

This is an interesting one. If you don’t mind postponing your departure date by a day or two, incentive to be moved onto the next flight. These incentives might include a night in a 5-star hotel, free meals or even a first class upgrade!you could book onto a flight that is likely to be oversubscribed. If you have ever used the 100% commission free airport currency exchange services, you might not have got quite the deal you thought you did. This is because airports, banks and many other currency exchange services don’t give you the best exchange rate. Because they are offering their services without charging ‘commission’ they make their money by creaming off a few points from the exchange rate. That means you get less money to enjoy on holiday. A much better deal can be found by booking your holiday money online. Using such a service will give you access to preferential rates and offer the option of home delivery of funds. A good starting point is to use a travel money aggregator.

There are many ways you can save money on your next summer holiday and it just means spending a little time hunting out the best deals and getting to know the tricks of the holiday trade.
