Make Your Hoopfest Weekend a Slam Dunk

With over 7,000 teams, 3000 volunteers, and 450 basketball courts, Spokane Hoopfest is the largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament in the world. Aside from the tournament and various basketball contests and events, Hoopfest offers a variety of activities for all interests. Here is an itinerary that highlights what Hoopfest offers on and off the court.


Get caffeinated….

Indaba: Get pumped for the big game with a cup of jo from Indaba Coffee. All of their coffee is made using house-roasted beans. Select from a wide variety of delightful drinks; their signature Lemon Vanilla Latte is a popular choice.

Test your basketball skills…

Beats by Dre Elite Division Court: Between your matches, watch as some of the most talented basketball teams from across the United States dribble, pivot, and Alley-oop across the Beats by Dre Elite Division Court.

Toyota Shootoff- Half Court Shot: Test your shot (and possibly your luck) in the Toyota Shootoff-Half Court Shot contest. Three shots cost $10.

Wendy’s Free Throw Challenge: Give Wendy’s Free Throw Challenge a shot (or three) for a chance to win an assortment of prizes. The challenge takes place from 9 am to 6pm; competitors must be 17 years or younger.

Slam Dunk Contest: Boom shakalaka! Get ready to have a slammin’ good time as you watch basketball players with serious hops make slam dunk after slam dunk. If you have hops of your own, then enter the contest at 2 pm.

Grab some grub…

Foodfest: All of these basketball games will probably work up an appetite, but don’t worry, Foodfest is the perfect place to refuel and recharge. From pizza to tacos to sandwiches, there are options  for everyone!

HOPFEST: Watch some hops, then drink some too at Hopfest. Eight local breweries will be featured as well as live music from 4-7 pm.


Go shopping…


Hoopfest Store by Nike: Seek refuge from the Hoopfest craziness and stock up on some gear at the Hoopfest Store by Nike. The store has everything you need for the weekend, including sweatshirts, memorabilia, and gifts.

Have some fun with the kids…

Rockwood Fun Zone: When kids enter the Rockwood Fun Zone, they won’t want to leave. With a slide, a moon bounce, and a shoot to win basket, this play area definitely lives up to its name. Admission tickets cost $1 and can be purchased at the Rockwood Fun Zone ticket booth.

Foodfest: Hit up Foodfest for Round Two. There are plenty of yummy lunch options, but make sure to save some room for dessert!

Watch a basketball game or event….


KIND Snacks High School Elite Center Court: Watch as young talent takes the court in the High School Elite Championship games from 2 to 4 pm or catch the final rounds of the Toyota Shootoff – 3-point Contest from 3:3o to 4:30 pm. Get in on all the action at Nike Center Court, which is where the championship games will be held.
